Financial Abuse Resources
The East Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) has developed a Financial Abuse Strategy and associated guidance, which aims to ensure co-ordinated multi-agency responses to financial abuse, and to clarify pathways, roles and responses to improve engagement and positive outcomes for adults who are chronically financially abused.
Multi-agency guidance to support adults at high risk of financial abuse has been developed for all agencies working with adults over 18 years of age who have care and support needs, and have been assessed, using the Financial Abuse Screening Tool , as being at high risk of financial abuse and / or there are significant professional concerns regarding the risk of financial abuse. The guidance does not replace but supports the Sussex Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures.
The guidance can be used alongside the Financial Abuse Toolkit which provides information to inform responses to suspected cases of financial abuse.
