Welcome to East Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board website.

The SAB is a multi-agency partnership, made up of statutory and voluntary partners as well as lay-members, established to promote well-being and oversee Safeguarding Adults work county-wide.

Safeguarding is everyone’s business and it means protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse or neglect. Abuse or neglect can often be prevented if concerns are raised as early as possible. We hope that this website is useful to anyone who wants information about the Board’s work and how to keep adults who may be vulnerable safe from harm.

Overcoming Abuse: Ben’s Safeguarding Story

The Safeguarding Community Network (SCN) is a Subgroup of the East Sussex Safeguarding Adult’s Board (SAB).  This network promotes effective communication between the SAB and adults and carers to improve safeguarding support to adults at risk of abuse and neglect within the community in East Sussex.

Ben, a representative of the SCN has created this video which focuses on his own safeguarding experience and sends a powerful message about overcoming abuse.
